Delete your account

You can delete your Swedish Flashcards account and everything in it at any time. There are two ways to do it: from inside the app, which is immediate, or by email if you no longer have access to the app.

In the app (immediate)

Open Swedish Flashcards
Go to Profile → Account
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account
Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete permanently

The deletion happens straight away. You are signed out and the copy of your library on that device is removed at the same time.

By email

If you cannot reach the app — a lost phone, or you have already uninstalled it — email sci.ronick@gmail.com from the address your account uses, with the subject Account deletion request.

Requests are actioned within 30 days, and normally much sooner. We may need to confirm you control the email address before deleting, since deletion cannot be undone.

What is deleted

Everything tied to your account is permanently removed:

Your login and email address
Your profile: display name, username, and profile photo
Every saved word and translation, with its review progress and box position
Your topic tags and the links between tags and words
Friend connections, the messages exchanged with them, and the friendship history
The copy of your library stored on the device you delete from

This cannot be undone. Creating a new account later will not bring any of it back. If you want to keep your words, use the app's Export feature first — it writes your full library to a file you control, which can be imported again later.

What is kept, and why

Purchase and tax records. If you ever subscribed to Premium, records of the transaction are retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires. These are held by Google Play as the seller; they contain no learning content.
Curated word packs are shared reference content authored by us, not your data, and are unaffected.

Deleting your account does not itself cancel a Premium subscription. Cancel it in the Google Play Store, under Payments & subscriptions, or it may continue to renew.

Deleting only some data

You do not have to delete the whole account to remove things. Individual words can be deleted in the Library, your profile photo can be removed in Profile, and friends can be removed from the Friends screen. Signing out clears the copy on that device while leaving your account intact.
